Before Treatment: Preparation Checklist
- Empty Kitchen Cabinets and Drawers
- Remove all items from kitchen cabinets, drawers, and pantries, especially those near appliances like stoves, refrigerators, and microwaves.
- Place items in sealed plastic bags or containers and store them away from treatment areas.
- Clear Countertops
- Remove all items from kitchen countertops, including small appliances, food, and utensils.
- Wipe down countertops to remove crumbs and grease.
- Clean Thoroughly
- Vacuum and mop all floors, paying special attention to cracks, crevices, and corners where cockroaches may hide.
- Take out all trash and clean trash cans thoroughly.
- Eliminate food and water sources by cleaning spills, crumbs, and grease from all surfaces, including under appliances.
- Access to Appliances
- Move large appliances like refrigerators and stoves away from the walls to allow access to hard-to-reach areas.
- Clean behind and beneath these appliances to remove grease, food, and debris.
- Bathroom and Other Areas
- Remove items from bathroom cabinets and drawers.
- Clean sinks, countertops, and floors in the bathroom.
- Declutter Affected Areas
- Minimize clutter throughout the home, especially in areas where cockroaches have been seen, to reduce hiding spots.
- Vacate the Property
- Plan to leave your home for 4-6 hours during and after the treatment.
- Notify the technician if anyone in your household has asthma, respiratory conditions, or chemical sensitivities for additional guidance.
- Secure Pets
- Remove pets from the property during treatment.
- Cover fish tanks and turn off air pumps to prevent exposure to treatment products.
After Treatment: Post-Service Instructions
- Wait Before Returning
- Do not enter the treated areas until the recommended time has passed (typically 4-6 hours).
- Ventilate the Home
- Open windows and doors to air out the property for at least 30 minutes upon your return.
- Do Not Clean Immediately
- Avoid wiping down or washing treated surfaces for at least 10-14 days to allow the products to work effectively.
- Regular cleaning of floors and countertops may resume after this period, avoiding treated areas.
- Dispose of Dead Roaches
- Use a vacuum to remove dead cockroaches, and empty the vacuum into a sealed bag before disposing of it in an outdoor trash can.
- Monitor Activity
- Some cockroach activity may persist for a few weeks as the treatment continues to work.
- Contact us if activity does not decrease significantly after three weeks.
- Prevention Tips
- Keep food stored in sealed containers.
- Clean up spills and crumbs promptly.
- Take out the trash regularly and keep lids tightly closed.
- Repair leaks to eliminate water sources.
